Account Overview

To access your control panel, go to our home page and enter your domain name in the Client Log In box. Or, in your browser, type in http://yoursite.com/menu in your browser, where "yoursite.com" is your domain name.

When you initially log in, click the File Manager and you will see a directory listing similar to the following:

yourdomain-logs
yourdomain-mail
yourdomain-secure
yourdomain-www
www

DO NOT DELETE OR RENAME any of these directories! They are required in order for your account to function. Deleting or renaming any of them will cause fatal errors that can only be repaired by deleting and resetting your account.

Of these directories, the one that you will use most is the www directory. This is the directory where you will upload your web pages and create other subdirectories on your website. Your pages WILL NOT be viewable on a web browser unless they are uploaded to this directory.

When you initially enter your www directory, you will see a directory/file listing similar to the following:

cgi-bin
stats
index.html (this is a coming soon page. You'll need to overwrite it with your home page)

DO NOT DELETE OR RENAME any of the directories within this folder. You WILL need to overwrite or delete the index.html file which is just a placeholder page for your site until you upload your own website files. Your home page file should be named index.html (or .htm, .shtml etc.) to function properly.

As you add options from within your Control Panel, such as the Shopping Cart, Coppermine photo gallery, etc, the system will automatically create the required directories within this area.

Below is a brief description of the different directories you may see when you log into your account depending on what options you have utilized in your Control Panel.

File/Directory Name - Description

yourdomain-anonftp - this folder is used for your anonymous users to download public files.
yourdomain-logs - this folder contains all access logs of visitors to your site
yourdomain-mail - this folder holds all POP mail accounts for your domain
yourdomain-webmail - this folder holds all POP mail accounts for your domain when accessed through webmail ( http://www.yourdomain.com/webmail )
yourdomain-www - this folder stores all html files for your domain
www - this is where you put all your html files and subdirectories (this is a mirror of the domain-www folder)
yourdomain-secure - this folder stores all secure html files (same folder as www folder and domain-www folder) this is an alias folder that is secure when a secure URL path is called correctly. Example: https://domain_name/file.name To have a secure directory you need to purchase your own security certificate.

Where and how to upload your files

ALL files must be uploaded to your www directory.

Files are uploaded to your account via the upload function at the bottom of the page in File Manager, or you can use another FTP program such as CuteFTP, WS_FTP, or Fetch, for example. Please refer to FTP Instructions for more details.

How to view your pages Live on the web

You can view your pages within any browser by typing the following in the URL.

http://www.yourdomain.com
http://yourdomain.com
www.yourdomain.com
http://www.yourdomain.com/index.html
http://yourdomain.com/index.html
