Ikon Board

IkonBoard is an award-winning forum software and communications portal. Members can subscribe to topics and be notified when someone replies to that thread, send each other private messages, view statistics, and perform several other options. Moderators will be pleased to find a powerful administration control panel that includes the abilities to open, close, lock / unlock (pin/unpin), move, delete topics as well edit and delete individual posts.

Ikon Board is written in PHP and requires that you install a MySQL database. Note: This feature requires that a MySQL database be added to your domain. If you do not have MySQL installed, please do so in your control panel before attempting to install Ikon Board.

Installation:

Click on the Ikon Board Icon in your control panel. Before you can install Ikon Board, you must read and accept the terms of the license agreement and fill out the administration information

Then click on the button labeled "Install Ikon Board." Ikon Board will be installed in 10 minutes.

Once Ikon Board is installed, you can access the boards from your control panel to view a test message and also view the board help files.

 

To access the discussion board from your website, add a link to
http://yourdomain.com/cgi-bin/iB_cgi/ikonboard.cgi

Use the Admin CP to set up the board, add categories and topics, manage uers, set up validation for new registrations, etc
